What happens during and after a pupil council meeting at Old Rayne School?
During the pupil council meeting important issues are discussed, ideas shared and action points decided. The aim is for the discussions to be orderly and fair, with everyone having an equal opportunity to talk or be listened to. It’s up to the Chairperson to make sure that councillors show respect for each other.
What happens after the meeting?
After the meeting the pupil council report back to the whole school at assembly – this helps every pupil to feel involved. Teachers give enough time to let the pupils discuss points that have been raised. We have a school suggestion box to gather ideas, which can be discussed at the next meeting.
Pupil Council Members for Session 2015/2016
Well done to the Pupil Council who organised our Red Nose day celebrations. We all wore something red to raise lots of money. The Pupil Council also sold Fruit Cups at break time. We raised £188! Thank you everyone!
